Painting is taught classically with emphasis on drawing, composition and color theory. Students learn how to paint using oils on canvas or board. They generate original ideas and develop their compositions based on still life material, live models and historical reference materials gathered from special demonstrations, exhibitions, and field trips. Instructors provide both individual attention and group critiques.
